happy new year

 
No champagne and disco ball here.  Just some toasty buns!

I'm on winter break and have way too much time, so I decided to scour the web for an easy bread recipe. For a bread newb, like me, I needed something easy and found one here and baked it in my dutch oven for a nice fluffy inside and crunchy outside. I ad libbed a cauliflower soup (without all that heavy cream and cheese like most recipes have) and ladled it into the bread bowls.  Yum!  New Year's Eve bread party for two.

That was pretty much our night.  We enjoyed our warm soup while watching Looper in our pj's. Then straight to bed.  That's how the old folks do it!  Well, we did turn on Ella Fitzgerald's record and Johnny twirled me around to "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?". Nothing like slow dancing in the middle of the living room with your love. It was quite romantical. 

2012 would have to go down as the hardest year of my life and very excited to kick it to the curb. Anyone else ready for 2013?!  Happy New Year, ya'll!  Here's to a great 2013!
