for the most amazing husband

I feel so blessed to be married to my person. He's just amazing. It especially hit me today when I took out the trash for the first time since we've been married. NO JOKE. For over a year, I never took the trash out. My person takes care of it. I can also count the number of times I did the dishes on one hand. My person takes care of it. He also takes care of breakfast and lunch packing. Seriously he's freaking amazing.

This week has been especially stressful for him as it's finals time, not to mention that we have some other big things on our minds lately. He's been at the library studying til super late, then he'd come home to chit chat with me for a little or do our devotionals, wake up and do it all again the next day. Last Thursday, he said he had to study late, so I went out to meet my friends for dinner. I stuffed my face, had a jolly ol' time with my high school buddies, and come home to see a clean house! He had come home and cleaned up everything while I was out. Seriously, WHO DOES THAT?! My person is seriously bomb-diggity.

One way I show my appreciation is by baking! I whipped out my old (and pretty beat up) recipe book and made some banana bread while my person was studying like a big nerd at the library again.

I wasn't kidding when I said my recipe book was old. I bought the notebook in high school and wrote down 2 recipes my mom taught me how to make. Over the years, I just started adding junk to it. Most of the time it's just print outs or post its that I throw in.

I had some fresh strawberries so I just sliced them and threw it in the batter.

When I bake banana bread, I always bake a mini loaf next to the bigger loaf so I can actually cut into and enjoy it too. :) It tasted okay, but the strawberries made the bread much mushier than usual. I kept the bigger loaf in longer, but it too, was a little too mushy. But Johnny eats anything and everything, so no worries.

I sent him a little email with this picture attached as to give him a lil hint of his yummy treat at home!

I'm so lucky to be married to the most patient, generous, loving, and caring man. EVER. I can't wait for him to come home!

  1. I bake to thank my husband too. just bc he works two jobs and that's hard work.
However, I do all the cleaning.

I watch other couples and I feel blessed to have a amazing husband. I'm glad to see someone else who has one too. It's like we are the luckiest girls in the world huh?
