We picked up the girls on the way up to the mountains to celebrate Johnny's dad's birthday. (Side note - John's car looked really strange with car seats in the back seat.)
The shy girls took a while to warm up to John's family but after a good Korean feast, they were just fine. It helped that John's bro's daughter, Emma was there. That girl is super outgoing and she didn't let her language barrier stop her from trying to play with the older "unnis".
The mountain is an amazing place and John gave us a tour with commentary like, "This is where I played when I was your age." We looked at different fruit trees, saw squirrels, lizards, and woodpeckers! It was super cool to hear a woodpecker slamming an acorn on a rock! The girls got a kick out of that. After some more exploring and rock collecting, we headed back inside to get out of the sun and have some cake. (And a nap for John!)

We headed down the mountain, but not before we stopped to take a picture with Smokey the Bear! Our next stop, Craig Park in Fullerton to feed the ducks!
Brave got a kick out of the white duck with the "crazy hair". |
After playing a little bit, we made a quick stop at baby Noah's 100th day celebration. The girls were overwhelmed by all the people so we didn't stay very long. From there, we made the long trek to Torrance to make sure the girls were fed dinner, bathed, and in bed by 7:30. I know those Bratchers don't mess with bedtime!
On the drive home, the girls requested we take a picture of the "sunglass club". By this time John and I were so tired! John didn't say a single word on the drive home and we just listened to the girls chat about My Little Pony and the Transformers. Those silly girls requested sushi and pizza for dinner, so two quick stops and we were finally home!
Girls were fed, washed up, watching the Lorax when we decided to vchat with the BFF and her hubz to show that we survived the day and the girls were still in one piece!
The girls slept through the night. I did not. I was so worried they'd wake up and freak out or they'd be cold or they'd roll off the blanket. I don't know. Just worried for no reason. The girls were fine and slept like little angels.
Sunday morning, I got them washed up, dressed, and did their hair. Then we were off to get breakfast before our Sunday gathering with our church family.
We returned them back to their parents and came home after service and KNOCKED OUT! Death nap to the max! The BFF thinks the next time we babysit we should increase it by one more girl and try to include baby Soul. So excited!!!!! ... and so tired just thinking about it! :)
Way. Too. Much. Fun. Love them.
